Today Cooper threw me one of his toys - it was a white mouse. Yesterday he left it for Willow, and she ripped the tail off. I got the body today, and just sunk my teeth in - fun! I tried to hide it in my mouth, but Mom pulled some mojo on me - she said “leave it” and I was powerless against her. I had to spit it out. Into the trash it went, and I went on my merry way.
I love Cooper for sharing his toys with me.

Happy Father’s Day, Dad! Thanks for playing with me, giving me treats and chomps, and for taking me fun places. And thanks for picking all the ticks off Willow after she willfully ran into the woods after bunnies so that they didn’t get on me.
Remember, I’m the good dog this weekend!!

Dad says that when software works you can make it say “hello world”. I haven’t been writing much lately, so I just wanted to make sure that my blog still works. So
Hello, World!
ps: thanks to all the brave people in the military who help keep me safe

Hi Checkers!
Happy Tuesday! How was your day? Willow & I had a Grand Chase this morning, and then we snoozed all day long. Right now I have Willow’s tennis ball, and I’m trying to lose it under the chaise. As soon as it goes under the chaise, that means the ball goes back in the garage. Willow gets the ball once in the morning and again at night. Usually she and Mom or Dad play catch and fetch with it, and then she runs around with it in her mouth and goes grrrrr grrrrr grrrrr at me. And sometimes she lets me play with it, like now.
Today Willow & I got pages on Facebook. Mom used the picture of me in my Christmas coat from Aunt Debbie, and Willow got the cool doggles picture. I hardly ever wear clothes, so I think my picture might be a little misleading.
Yesterday Mom and Dad took a picture of me in a bowl. I’ll try to remember to download it & put it up on my blog for you to see.
That’s it for now - Mom & Dad are going to take us for a walk. Maybe when we get back, I’ll chase Cooper.
Have a good night, Checkers!
xoxo

Last weekend I made a new friend: Abby! Abby came to visit us with her mom and my pack mate Deb. Abby is as nice as her mom - they were both happy to see me, Willow and Cooper, and gave me very nice belly rubs. Plus, they had nice muddy shoes for me to lick and they smelled good - like Colonial Williamsburg on a reenactment day. That’s probably because they were staying with us while they brought Deborah Peterson’s Pantry to Military Through the Ages at Jamestown.
I heard that Abby might come back to visit us again in a few months. It will be fun to see her again!!

Yesterday I ate something I shouldn’t have. It was fun.
Today I exploded. And had a bath. Why don’t I learn?

Dad thinks that dogs don’t watch tv, but he’s wrong. I even have a favorite tv show - Pet Star on Animal Planet. I like watching and listening to all th e animals. Animal Planet has other good shows, but I can hear the other animals talk the best on Pet Star. I think I could be a star - I’m good at so many things, though, I’m not sure that I could pick just one to show them.
Today there was a show on called Breed: All About It, and it was all about Cardigan Welsh Corgis. Like me and Willow. I was very excited to see my cousin Cricket, who is an agility star.
Okay, I’m off to sit next to Dad and see what’s up next!

Hi everyone!
Just an update on my pack - I added 1 new member and a “friend of the pack” last week. Dara came to visit us last week. She slept in the guest room, and I had so much fun going to wake her up in the mornings. I would run in and jump by the bed and lick her (if I could reach her). She didn’t seem to mind - she said it’s the best way to wake up. Dara has a beagle named Daisy. I hope we get to meet Daisy someday, so I can tell her how great her mom is.
I tried to wake up Dara on Saturday and Sunday, but her door was closed. We haven’t really seen Dara since Friday afternoon, so maybe she went home to Daisy and Alan. I’ll try the door every so often, just to make sure.
On Saturday, Willow & I made a new friend at the farmers’ market - Crash. Crash is a 10 month old Cardigan Welsh Corgi, and he’s the same brindle color as me. Even though we were on our leashes, we played together for the longest time. Willow was kind of tired from long walkies, so it was mostly me and Crash tearing it up. Crash was very nice: he met both Mom & Dad, and made sure to go and sniff or lick Willow every so often, so she would know that he liked her, too. I hope we get to see Crash again!
P.S. Thanks to our new friend, Bea, who took our picture & emailed it to Mom!
