Happy Father’s Day, Dad

Sorry this is late.  I love you.  I hope you had a nice Father’s Day, and that you liked my present.  It’s my favorite, so I think you must have.  You’re my favorite Dad!

Adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Little WikiLast weekend Mom & Dad packed us all up (except for Cooper) and we drove and drove and drove. It got very hilly. When we stopped we were in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Fox Hill B&B in Fairfield, VA. That’s just outside of Lexington. We had a grand time, taking long walks and playing in the meadow. There was another dog who lived there, Ellie, who seemed really nice. She chased bunnies a lot, and I don’t think she knew quite what to make of me. But she made friends with Willow. There were horses, too. They all ran up to say hello when Dad took us by the barn. And there was a pond where some bull frogs lived. The frogs made funny noises.

While we were there, Mom & Dad took us to Rockbridge Vineyard. Willow & I had a lot of fun meeting people there. We got to shop with Mom & Dad, and Mom held me during the wine tasting. Willow sat at Mom’s feet, and she was such a good dog. I hope someday I can sit still for that long. Lots of people pet me and let me lick them. I even got in a few nibbles when they put their fingers in my mouth. That doesn’t happen much, since there’s a “no body parts in mouth rule,” but I don’t think these people heard about it. Later I got to play outside with Willow & Mom while Dad bought some wine.

I love Fox Hill, and I hope that I get to go back soon!

ps – feel better Mom. I’m sorry one of my ticks gave you lyme disease. Please don’t turn green.

Hi Dr. Brown!

I forgot to say hi to Dr. Brown! She and visiting Dr. Lindsay took nice care of me on Monday. I got weighed (10 lbs!) and fed some cheese wiz.

So, hi Dr. Brown! And Willow says she’ll see you on Monday!

Pretty me!

This week Mom & Dad took me & Willow to Petsmart.  They are nice there, because they let us walk all around the store and sniff stuff.  And the people are always happy to see us!  We got to see our friend Tanya, and she had her pack mate Sam with her.  Sam is getting big!  He and Willow played together a bunch, but Mom held me so I could try to lick Tanya’s face.

And did I tell you?  I got a new collar & leash!  I’m so pretty!  They’re brown with a pretty green ribbon on them, and they look so nice against my brindle coat.  And, the leash is as long as Willow’s, so walking is easier.  Thanks Mom & Dad!

Last night my Grandma Miss Elaine called, so I got to hear her voice.  I love her, even though I haven’t met her yet.  Cooper says he used to live with her, and Willow knows her.  She’s Dad’s mom, so do you think she smells like Dad?  I think I could pick her out in a crowd.  She lives somewhere called Wisconsin, and someday Mom and Dad will take me and Willow there.  Probably not Cooper, though, because he just likes it in the house.  Miss Elaine said she was feeling better, and that makes me happy.  If I were her pet I bet I could make her feel all better.  Or maybe Cooper, because Mom calls him a healing kitty.  I hope I see you soon, Miss Elaine!

I love you all & hope I meet you out & about!

Lots to say

I have a lot to tell you!

I missed the farmers’ market on Saturday – instead we had a neighborhood garage sale! It was very exciting. Lots of people came to the house and walked around in our driveway. I got to bark at them with Willow from the window. Sometimes I got to play on the lawn, and for a while I practiced being a lap dog on Mom. After the sale Willow & I took naps. Then later on, there was more neighborhood stuff. There was a big picnic up on the circle. Dad grilled lots of food, but I didn’t get to eat any of it. But I didn’t really notice because there were lots of dogs to play with: Willow, Isabel, Mick, and Daisy. And some kids played with me. And I made a new friend named Diane. She walked me for a while and let me lick her. That was nice.

Hannah and WikiOn Saturday my cousin & pack-mate Hannah broke her leg. I love Hannah a lot, and hope she gets well soon. I hope I can come & see you & cheer you up, Hannah!!

Sunday was very wet. I didn’t like going out, but Mom & Dad made me. Willow was really good about it, so I tried to follow her example. We got to play and play all day inside.

One last thing – Willow & I have new food, and we love it SO MUCH! They’re both turducken flavor, and mine is just for puppies. I am so happy that Mom & Dad got us new food. Does turducken mean “yummy”?

Friday!

It has been a pretty quiet week and I can’t believe that it is already Friday!!  I like Friday, because the next day is Saturday, and Mom and Dad usually take us out to puppy around somewhere.

I wanted to tell you that this morning I was a very good girl.  I played nice with Willow and Cooper, I didn’t chew anything bad, I didn’t try to run away upstairs, and I only did my stuff outside.  Mom and Dad are especially happy about that last part, as I’m getting really really good at it.  I have to, because tomorrow there’s a garage sale, and Mom & Dad might sell me.  Maybe.

Early tomorrow I’ll be at the farmer’s market again – stop by and say hi if you see me & Willow!

That’s all for now – hope you have a nice weekend!

ps – Jim, I’m glad you’re feeling better!  Can I come visit you sometime?
